What’s Great About SlideShare.net?

Have you seen slideshare.net yet?

It let’s you post your Powerpoint presentations out on the net.

Does that sound a bit underwhelming? It does at first. After all, how many boring, bad, tedious presentations have you had to endure over the years? Does just the mere thought of Powerpoint make you start to slumber?

Well, here is what is great about slideshare:

  • You are in control of the presentation
  • You can go at your own pace
  • Can’t do that with a video or podcast
  • Easy to embed on web sites or social media
  • Presentations are easy to create
  • Sound is optional
  • And best of all
  • They are CLICKABLE

You saw that, right, clickable.

So, you can bring people off of your presentation and on to you web site. Once they are on your site, you can get them on your list. The interested ones anyway. And you don’t want the uninterested ones.

Everyone Thought This Was A Nice Boring Logo…

The British government’s Office Of Government Commerce needed a logo. So, they went to the logo designers and got this.

It cost 14,000 British pounds (~$20,000 US) and appeared to be boring enough to please everyone.

That is, until someone turned it on its side.
